The District 1 Continuation Day was held on July 14, 2007 at Animas Lodge #15, Farmington, NM.   The Special Communication for both District 1 and Animas Lodge #15 opened in form on the 3rd Degree at 10:00 AM by RW Ron Holloway, D.D.G.M. The purpose this special communication was for conferring the 2nd and 3rd Degrees on a Continuation Class of ten (10) Brothers from District 1.

The names of the Brothers are as follows (with Lodge name & number):

David Gates (David was Class representative for 2nd Section of the 3rd Degree)

Dallas DeWees (Dallas was Class representative for the 1st Section of the 3rd Degree)

Carl Ault
Terry Lattin
Eldon Walker (Br. Walker had previously received his 2nd Degree, but wanted to enjoy the day with his class)
Daniel Goodwin (Daniel was Class representative for both Sections of the 2nd Degree)

The event was well attended with many side liners.  We even had 7 or so (more or less) from Edgewood Lodge (including PGM Jimmy Berkey).  These 7 or so, had other motives for attending as they retrieved the Traveling State Gavel from Animas #15. Strict review of the rules of the Gavel was made, and it was determined Edgewood Lodge more than exceeded the requirements.  Animas #15 Worshipful Master Butch Condry then presented the Gavel and the book of the gavel history to Edgewood Lodge.  Some light hearted fun, peace and harmony prevailed
 
The Degrees were performed very well by all who worked.  I for one, and I know RW Ron will agree to this;  all of the men who worked in the degrees put a great amount of effort into this weekend.  It really showed! 
 
We provided a brief Masonic Education to the class by instructing & reviewing each degree.
 
All were presented a Masonic Bible.
